Similar to doing a full restore on disks back to a known state and then applying the valid incremental backups.

Exploit in progress
Hard fork back before the vulnerability.
Roll all transactions through minus exploit transactions.

Is that possible with blockchains?

Because zano is private by default. And the illegally minted coins were seen as legit zano transfers by nodes. Differentiating between them is hard even if possible.
