It's similar to Nostr, where if you come across a post and you find it constructive, you can then 'zap' or send some Bitcoins to the original poster as a way of appreciating their insightfulness.

I can definitely see this being implemented here.

Would anyone else be interested in having the option to tip good content?
I was thinking a tip bot at first, but we don't actually need one at all. Instead, a NodeBB plugin could just add a Tip button on each post.
It would grab the poster's alias and open a payment request through Zano Companion, so the tipper approves it in their own wallet and the coins go straight to the poster no bot holding funds, nothing custodial.
I'd be happy to put this together myself, and the team could then review it and adapt it for the forum if there's interest
