At Common S3nse Amsterdam, blockchain researcher Odysseas Sofikitis from Common Prefix presented “Zenith: Zano’s Path to Pure Proof of Stake.” Odysseas is a PhD candidate at NTUA and specializes in consensus protocols, Byzantine fault tolerance, accountability and blockchain interoperability. In the presentation, he explores blockchain security, Proof of Stake, privacy-preserving protocols, and how these ideas come together in Zano’s upcoming Zenith upgrade. A great watch for anyone who wants a deeper technical understanding of Zano’s move toward pure Proof of Stake. Watch the full presentation here: https://youtu.be/fPYeR56m0pE

Privacy shouldn't stop at the native coin. Vini Barbosa recently published a great deep dive into one of Zano's biggest competitive advantages: Confidential Assets. Unlike tokens built on transparent smart-contract networks, assets created on Zano are native to the protocol and can benefit from the same privacy infrastructure as $ZANO itself. This means Zano isn't limited to private transfers of one coin. The network can support an entire ecosystem of private assets. The article takes a closer look at: What Zano Confidential Assets are How anyone can create an asset on Zano Why sharing a large anonymity set matters How asset information can remain confidential Real-world examples such as fUSD What Confidential Assets could enable as the Zano ecosystem continues to expand Where this technology could go as more infrastructure is built around Zano This is an important distinction when talking about Zano as a privacy ecosystem rather than simply another privacy coin. Private money is one thing. Private stablecoins, tokens and other assets operating on the same network open up a much larger design space. Great article by @vinibarbosabr for anyone who wants to understand this part of Zano in more detail. Read the full article here: https://x.com/vinibarbosabr/status/2098383362327011589?s=20 Would love to hear what use cases people would most like to see built around Confidential Assets.

August was a major month for Zano. Hard Fork 6 officially went live, bringing Gateway Addresses and major protocol improvements to mainnet, while the Zano Execution Layer moved into a unified testnet configuration. We also saw new ecosystem integrations, continued wallet and infrastructure upgrades, progress on Zano Quest, and plenty of community activity. The latest monthly update covers everything that happened across development, integrations, events, community growth, and what’s coming next. TradeTechEye has covered the launch of Zano’s Hard Fork 6, focusing on how the upgrade improves integration possibilities across the wider crypto ecosystem. With Gateway Addresses now live, exchanges, DEXs, bridges and other services have a much easier path to supporting ZANO without changing the privacy model of the network. Another solid piece highlighting the importance of HF6 for Zano’s next stage of adoption. The privacy point definitely stood out to me too. I think it’s one of those areas where the balance between privacy, transparency and accountability gets complicated pretty quickly.
