@ZMiner Totally understandable, but Discord became a breeding ground for scammers. It takes time to adjust; I hope you'll feel just as at home here. If you have tips on how to improve the forum you can always let us know!

@ZMiner I don't LOL. Discord let themselves get used by scammers to the point their platform was unusable. It was always great as a comm platform for gaming and maybe that is what it should be used for as it is worthless for our needs (i.e. SECURITY).

Great job guys. I'm in, but still confused about the whole registering with my alias thing. That didn't happen!

@cards_relay At the moment, it is optional.

You can either register an account using a username and password, which upon successful registration, will give you access to the forum.

Now if you register via an alias-based authentication process, your identity is tied to your on-chain Zano alias, rather than an easily spoof username.

As a consequence, aliases that are registered with the blockchain cannot be altered /or impersonated the way a Telegram or perhaps a Discord username can.

if you make an account with a user name thats the same as your alias is there any way to link that alias after the fact?

The authentication of your alias is how its determined that you are the true owner of the alias.
