ZanoNames is coming soon: a marketplace for Zano aliases
-
I wanted to share an upcoming project with the community: ZanoNames, a marketplace for buying, selling and discovering Zano aliases.
For anyone unfamiliar with aliases, a name like @yourname links to your Zano wallet address. You can use it to receive payments and sign in to supported Zano dApps. Aliases are registered on-chain and can be transferred to another owner.
ZanoNames is bringing several features together:
- Fixed-price listings: buy an alias at its asking price or list one you own.
- Auctions: bid on names you want, with support for proxy bidding.
- Wanted offers: make an offer for an alias that isn’t listed for sale.
- Alias Monitor: explore the full on-chain alias registry.
Marketplace sales will use escrow. The buyer’s payment is held until the alias transfer is verified on-chain, then released to the seller.
I recently saw @freemoney get registered on-chain. If you have a name in mind for yourself, your business or a project, you can already check its availability and register it through your Zano wallet.
The website is currently in beta testing, with a public launch coming soon. Follow @ZanoNames on X for updates and the launch announcement.
Have you registered your Zano alias yet? Curious to hear which names the community has picked.
