Since the hard fork resets to a previous level and all the valid transactions need to be manually redone I was wondering if the process could be automated?

Similar to doing a full restore on disks back to a known state and then applying the valid incremental backups.

    Exploit in progress
Hard fork back before the vulnerability.
Roll all transactions through minus exploit transactions.

    Is that possible with blockchains?

The thing is team can't be sure about which transactions are legit and which ones aren't. Because zano is private by default. And the illegally minted coins were seen as legit zano transfers by nodes. Differentiating between them is hard even if possible.

Yea it was a long shot but thought I'd ask. Having a blockchain database makes me think in SQL type terms. Transactions can be replayed etc.
        thanks
