    Hey Zano community 👋

We're Freedom Dollar (fUSD) — the first private, censorship-resistant, decentralized stablecoin built on Zano. fUSD is digital cash you fully own and control, pegged near $1 USD, and confidential by default thanks to Zano's stealth addresses, ring signatures, and confidential transactions.

    What makes it different

No central issuer — no company, no CEO, no HQ. It's open-source code, not corporate promises.

Over-collateralized with ZANO — minting requires depositing ZANO at a high collateral ratio (initially 1000%+), with staked reserves that grow over time.

Algorithmic peg — over-collateralization plus algorithmic market-making keep fUSD near $1 without banks or custodians.

Unfreezable & permissionless — no accounts, no KYC, no borders. Nobody can block or seize your funds.

Transparent — public on-chain reserves you can verify yourself.

Getting started Grab fUSD with any wallet that lists support (e.g. the Zano wallet and the Bitcoin.com Wallet), swap for it via supported services, or generate invoices, links, and QR codes with zano.cash — no app install needed.

    🔗 How it works: https://www.freedomdollar.com/en/how-it-works
    🔗 FAQ: https://www.freedomdollar.com/en/faq

We'd love feedback from builders and users here — what would you want to see fUSD integrated into next? Merchants, wallets, and DeFi tools especially, come say hi.

        @Freedom-Dollar
Hello welcome to the new forum, with Zano's Hard Fork 6, native ZANO and supported Confidential Assets are set to benefit from trustless bridging into the EVM ecosystem as well as TON and Solana.
        a few of questions....

Will fUSD be among the supported assets, with a bridgeable ERC-20 version wfUSD giving it the same EVM access as wZANO?

I'm looking to build a few things around wZANO, and having a wrapped fUSD available would be great.
My hope is that newcomers who find Zano first through wZANO or wFUSD will have some options right off the bat and hopefully sparking interest in taking a look at the native chain that they are built on and its privacy and many features that it has to offer.

and lastly, is there any way to independently verify how many market maker nodes are currently running for fUSD?
if the privacy layer makes that impossible, how does the team demonstrate the network isn't relying on a small number of operators.

FreedomDollar just added a groundbreaking bridge to their website between $USDT, $USDC, and $fUSD.

Fees from USDT to fUSD are just 0.265%, and back from fUSD to USDT are just 0.155%.

Ethereum, Tron, and Zano networks available.

Has anyone tried it out yet?

Why coverage ratio keeps decreasing over time ?
was 1.82x and is now at 1.37x ?

@ZMiner The coverage ratio depends on the amount of fUSD minted and the amount of Zano held in reserve as well as the price of Zano in relationship to the amount of fUSD minted.

The formula used in determining the coverage ratio is as follows:
(Zano reserves x spot price) / (Issued fUSD - fUSD in the Public Audit Wallet)

Hope that helps clarify the fluctuation of the coverage ratio.

@ZMiner Luckily, thanks to the staked Zano earning about 2.5% per year, the coverage ratio will grow by
                    1.82x x 2.5% = 4.55%
                    or
                    1.37x x 2.5% = 3.425%

Compounding over time, this will add up to very significant reserves for fUSD.

it is a bit unclear but what was the overcolateralization ratio for the first 1 million fUSD ?
could you extrapolate what will the ratio be when there are 100M fUSD in circulation , rough numbers ?

If I recall correctly, fUSD was launched with $100K in circulation, and $1M in Zano collateral in the public audit wallet giving it a 10X coverage ratio, but that dropped down to about 5x when the next $100K was minited, with only $1.1M in the reserve wallet at that point. It is hard to know what the ratio will be once $100M is minted but it seem that 5X or 10X are very possible because the market cap of Zano would need to grow a lot, including the value of the reserve wallet.

The combination of dollar stability and Zano’s native privacy could make fUSD pretty useful for people anyone who don’t want every payment sitting on a public ledger.

how does fUSD handle periods of extreme ZANO price volatility, especially a sharp drop in ZANO's price? with the stablecoin being over-collateralized by ZANO, what mechanisms protect the peg and ensure the system remains sufficiently collateralized during severe market conditions?

The Zano reserves exponentially grows through fUSD swaps, market-maker profits, and staking rewards. Which will essentially, generate a compounding effect that offset price drops with more Zano.

This keeps the reserve healthy even in intense volatility.

i got told by a guy that if Zano got to the 4 dollar area that freedom dollar would de peg...... and it was fine i reminded him that we were at the 4 dollar area only got crickets.
i think he asked the AI and one thing he did not take into account was the market makers
so its had a good test from 10 to 4
