Yea it was a long shot but thought I'd ask. Having a blockchain database makes me think in SQL type terms. Transactions can be replayed etc.

Since the hard fork resets to a previous level and all the valid transactions need to be manually redone I was wondering if the process could be automated?

Similar to doing a full restore on disks back to a known state and then applying the valid incremental backups.

Roll all transactions through minus exploit transactions.

Is that possible with blockchains?

in the meantime I found another workaround:

extract the appImage using --appimage-extract
delete the obsolete libnssutil3.so libnss3.so libraries
launch the app
I hope this helps the team fixing the problem since it's very simple

@yep That's good to hear. I don't mind going through some pain and even potentially small loss but I'd rather burn the Z than have it end up with a scummy scammer.

I'm glad they managed to remove the unauthorised supply but what about sales inside Zano? Can't be traced so if they did those would that still work?

@htzano Quicktime is great at runtime but the libraries can be quite a mess LOL.

I got this temp fix from one of the team.
For Linux:
make a file named "Zano.sh" and put these contents in it:

exec ./Zano.AppImage "$@"

Then make it executable with "chmod 755 ./Zano.sh" and copy your appimage to "Zano.AppImage"

Thanks but none of those steps worked for me. I'll check in the support forum to see if anyone got it working yet.

Download and run zano-linux-x64-gui-release-v2.2.3.600[98bbd72].AppImage and it downloads then syncs then the 2 wallets I have sync and I'm short one transaction.

"07/09/2026 for 8.4142494 ZANO".

I have the transaction ID and date time etc. No rush just let me know when you've got the recovery process ready.

I tried the CLI wallet but switched to "Zano Full Wallet" recently. I was running the CLI to check out the staking on an old system. Worked ok but the full wallet is clean, simple & functional so I just use it now.

Being able to park other crypto currencies in the zano full wallet is interesting and what I'm looking for. The gateway release opens up lots of possibilities.

Once business can do smart contracts they need private and public ledger because that is how businesses operate. They have private and public information. Putting everything on a public ledger isn't going to work for them.

To model business processes we need both (and smart contract coming soon).
