August was a major month for Zano. Hard Fork 6 officially went live, bringing Gateway Addresses and major protocol improvements to mainnet, while the Zano Execution Layer moved into a unified testnet configuration. @Ruroni99 Yeah similar spirit to RetoSwap but different mechanics. Here the escrow would be a contract, and the arbitrators never have any path to the money at all. They hold no keys, they only vote on the outcome and earn a separate dispute fee, and the contract itself pays out based on the vote. It's also general purpose digital escrow (paying for work, AI agent tasks, P2P trades where one leg is off chain) rather than being built around fiat to crypto swaps specifically. There's no special validator, arbitrators are just people who register by posting a stake, and a small panel of them votes if a dispute happens. If they go silent, anyone can void the deal after a timeout and both sides take their own funds back, so nobody is trusted to stay online. On ZEL the chain's own validators would play no special role beyond running the chain. Previous build is on Beam. It's a shader contract live on their mainnet with a dapp in the Beam dapp store, so the ZEL version would be a Solidity port of a design that already runs, not a from scratch experiment. seems AI agents are using escrows a fair amount lately, so it be cool to build one for Zano

You can create an introduction category where people can share some info about themselves and their projects. That's good for getting more adoption in smaller communities. Although, I'd suggest to transition away from legacy account-based architecture and choose direct signing instead, but that's a rant for another post.

@ZANOX.IO You mentioned swaps and gift cards too. Which one is seeing more use on ZanoX right now?

basically, Zano’s Confidential Assets are designed to keep transaction details private. using ring signatures, stealth addresses and Bulletproofs+, they hide the sender, receiver, transaction amount and asset ID. this makes confidential transactions difficult to distinguish from one another onchain, allowing assets like private stablecoins and wrapped tokens to exist directly on Zano without needing a separate blockchain.
