FreedomDollar just added a groundbreaking bridge to their website between $USDT, $USDC, and $fUSD.

Fees from USDT to fUSD are just 0.265%, and back from fUSD to USDT are just 0.155%.

Ethereum, Tron, and Zano networks available.

Has anyone tried it out yet?

Curious to hear the community's thoughts on Zenith, the new consensus that was just announced and will go live later with hard fork 7.

Introducing Zenith: Zano's move to pure Proof of Stake.
    Zenith-16x9 (1).png
A new consensus protocol, built on the privacy foundations of Zarcanum.

This isn't a pivot. It's where a road that started in 2013 finally converged. Every attempt to improve our hybrid model kept hitting the same wall: the PoW component. So we changed the question: what does the network look like if that interaction just isn't there?

Zenith is the result of more than 13 years of research into how a network can gain the benefits of modern Proof of Stake while preserving the privacy that users expect from Zano.

What changes after hard fork 7:
🔹 Block time speeds of ~15 seconds, down from one minute
🔹 4 to 6 block confirmations instead of the current 10, carrying stronger security guarantees than the 10 we wait for today
🔹 Typical TX confirmation in 60 to 90 seconds, down from an average of 10 minutes
🔹 Ephemeral blocks keep history light, so more blocks does not mean a heavier chain
🔹 PoW emission gone, 21,600 $ZANO a month that no longer gets partially sold by miners
🔹 Staking stays private, amounts hidden, no permanent link between your outputs and you

  • What Was the Most Confusing Part of Getting Started With Zano?
    kwibsK kwibs

For me, it was learning about the different privacy technologies and layers. Many projects claim their transactions are 'private'. But when you look under the hood, the implementations vary widely, and only a handful of projects actually have strong privacy (hidden sender/receiver, amounts, and asset types). Immutability matters too; there are projects out there that promise privacy, but when you read the small text at the bottom, you find there's actually a backdoor for 'authorities'. If we want privacy with a backdoor for some, we might as well just use our regular bank accounts, which work exactly that way.

It's hard to spot the 'real' privacy from the fake, unless you actually learn about the technologies, what they mean, and how they're implemented. This was the biggest learning curve for me at the start.

  • Welcome to the Official Zano Forum!
    kwibsK kwibs

Hello and welcome! We're glad you found your way here.

    Why we created this forum

Zano's community has always been active across Discord and Telegram, and those channels are great for real-time chat, quick questions, and announcements. But real-time chat has a weakness: good ideas scroll away. Deep technical discussions get buried, and newcomers end up asking the same questions again and again.

This forum fixes that. It gives the Zano community a permanent, searchable, well-organized home for long-form discussion. Everything posted here stays discoverable, for you and for everyone who comes after you.

Additionally, since this is a dedicated Zano forum, there should be way fewer scammers here!

    What you can do here

    • Ask and answer questions. Wallet setup, staking, mining, confidential assets, Zano Trade, Zano Companion: if you're stuck, someone here has probably solved it. And your answer today becomes tomorrow's reference for someone else.
    • Discuss ideas and proposals. Share thoughts on the protocol, the ecosystem, and where Zano should go next. Thoughtful, long-form debate is exactly what this space is for.
    • Get building help. Developers integrating Zano's APIs, libraries, or confidential assets can discuss implementation details in depth, without losing the thread in a fast-moving chat.
    • Share what you've made. Built a tool, written a guide, launched a project on Zano? Show it off and get feedback from people who care about privacy tech.
    • Stay informed. Follow updates, releases, and community initiatives in one organized place.

A few things to keep in mind

    • Search before posting. Your question may already have a great answer.
    • Be respectful. We're a global community of builders, miners, stakers, and privacy advocates, and we want this to stay a place people enjoy.
    • For confirmed bugs and feature requests, GitHub remains the right place: github.com/hyle-team/zano/issues. For real-time chat, Discord and Telegram aren't going anywhere.
    • For sensitive data, such as your wallets or funds, only use our official support channel, which is available on our website: https://zano.org/support
    • Never share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone, here or anywhere else. No team member will ever ask for them.

Privacy is not optional here. It's the default. Thanks for being part of it.

    Welcome aboard,
    The Zano Team

Hi there and welcome to the Need Help category!

Feel free to ask any questions regarding Zano here. But for anything involving sensitive data such as your wallet or funds, please only use: https://zano.org/support

The Zano team doesn't provide support anywhere else. Anyone DMing you claiming to be from the official Zano team is a scammer and impersonator.

Community members are more than welcome to help the core team answer questions and support other zAnons.

    Thank you.

  • What else would you like to see on the Zano roadmap?
    kwibsK kwibs

I'm curious to find out what else the community would like to see being focused on by the Zano team.

Please note that the core team works on improving the blockchain itself. Projects built on top of it are mostly done by others.
